State of the Game 2023 - IMPORTANT
Hello, sinners!
It's been a wild almost four years, huh? But the story of God and the Devil playing a bet together is nearing its end. Jean and I talked it out and we have an endgame plannned roughly for around September, so because of this, we're switching AC to check-in only, and offering anyone who was in the game previously a free ticket to come back in at any point. Just drop a link to your old app and we'll add you back in!
What does this mean for Penance after endgame? We intend to leave it open as a sandbox. People will still be able to interact with old events in any way, shape, or form, that they wish. More information will be available once the endgame has played out. The community itself will remain members-only, but people will be able to join as they please.
I, Chi, would just like to thank everyone who's participated in Penance since the start. This has been a wonderful, fulfilling experience and I have sincerely met some wonderful people and made some amazing friends through my time modding this niche little hell game. I'll be forever grateful for the experience and I want to thank everybody for sticking it out through ups, downs, and everything in between. It's been a pleasure!
And I, Jean, would like to thank everyone, both current and past players, as well. This was my first home game after five years away from RP. It meant a lot to me to have one, to meet the players I did and have these experiences. So thank you, players for shaping this game over the years, for helping to make it what it is and Chi, thank you for sharing the game with all of us. I hope to see everyone around!

And question! Would it be okay to make him CRAU from the game I brought him to after Penance? It wouldn't affect much. It'd just give him memories of a place that he'll question whether was real or just a hallucination brought on by hell because hell do be crazy like that sometimes.
